DUSHANBE, March 14, 2015, Asia-Plus — 350 families living in ecologically dangerous areas in various regions of Tajikistan will be resettled to safer places this year, according to the Ministry of Labor, Migration and Employment of Population (MLMEP).

An official source at MLMEP says they will be relocated in line with the government’s decree on an organized resettlement of ecological migrants in 2014-2016.

This year, 34 families from Gorno Badakhshan, 55 families from Sughd province, 175 families from Khatlon province and 86 families from districts subordinate to the center, living in ecologically dangerous zones, will be resettled to safer places,” the source said.

According to him, the ecological migrants will be provided with land parcels for housing, grants and preferential loans.
