KULOB, May 30, Asia-Plus — By May 30, cotton ovaries have appeared on 1,910 hectares of cotton fields in cotton-growing districts of Khatlon’s Kulob region, Abdullo Rajabov, leading specialist with the Kulob agriculture directorate, said in an interview with Asia-Plus.
In the Hamadoni district alone, cotton ovaries have appeared on the area of 1,710 hectares, Rajabov said.
This year, Kulob farers have planted cotton on the area of 40,650 hectares and hope to yield 79,000 tons of raw cotton this year.
