DUSHANBE, May 27, Asia-Plus — Tajikistan ahs launched the regular anti-drug operation, dubbed “Poppy-2008,” Asia-plus ahs learned at head office of the Drug Control Agency (DCA) in Dushanbe.
The operation aimed at revealing and destroying areas under drug-containing plants involves the law enforcement agencies, power-wielding structures, local authorities, ministries of agriculture and health as well as the committee for T and radio-broadcasting, the DCA source said.
The operation will last through November.
