DUSHANBE, May 13, 2015, Asia-Plus – New deputy heads of the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT) and Amonatbonk (Tajikistan’s savings bank) have been appointed.
According to the Tajik president’s official website, Ms. Lola Salimova, Mr. Umed Latifov and Mr. Sirojiddin Ikromov, who had previously served as deputy heads of Amonatbonk, were appointed deputy heads of the NBT.
Mr. Abdumannon Saidov, formerly deputy head of Amonatbonk, was appointed the first deputy head of this bank.
Mr. Islomiddin Rahmonov and Mr. Bakhtiyor Mahmoudov were appointed deputy heads of Amonatbonk.
We will recall that head of Tajik central bank was replaced on May 4 this year.
Jamshed Nourmahmadzoda, who had previously served as Chairman of the Board of Amonatbonk, was appointed to head the NBT, replacing Abdujabbor Shirinov.
Abdujabbor Shirinov had been head of Tajik central bank since January 24, 2012.
All deputy chairpersons of the National Bank of Tajikistan were also replaced.
Jamoliddin Nouraliyev, formerly First Deputy Minister of Finance, was appointed the first deputy chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan.
The National Bank of Tajikistan is the central bank of Tajikistan. The Bank is engaged in developing policies to promote financial inclusion and is a member of the Alliance for Financial Inclusion.
Amonatbonk is the only state-owned bank. It is one of the oldest in Tajikistan (established in 1925) and one of the largest based upon various criteria – including the number of branches and the number of served clients. The institution is unique in its orientation towards implementing social, pension and other state programs. Amonatbonk has 5 regional centers, more than 70 branches and nearly 500 agencies. This gives the institution a presence in the most remote mountainous parts of the country.
