Russia to allocate $6 million to FAO for food security of Tajikistan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan

DUSHANBE, July 1, 2015, Asia-Plus — Russian legal information’s official website reports Russia will allocate 6 million U.S. dollars to the United Nations Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) in 2015-2017 to assist three countries – Armenia, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.

This sum is reportedly aimed at providing technical assistance to the governments of the three nations to ensure food and nutrition security and sustainable agricultural development.

Russia will make an annual contribution of 2 million U.S. dollars over three years.
