DUSHANBE, May 5, Asia-Plus  — An economic delegation of Russia’s Irkutsk region, comprising representatives of the regional administration, Eastern Siberia’s chamber of commerce and industry and businessmen, will arrive in Tajikistan on May 13, according to Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI).

The source at a CCI said that during its stay in Tajikistan, the Irkutsk delegation is scheduled to hold a number of talks with Tajik enterprises and organizations dealing with organization of external labor migration and building materials supplies to discuss cooperation issues.

They will discuss relating to expanding commercial relations, delivering saw timbers to Tajikistan, sending Tajik labor migrants to Russia’s Baikal and importing Tajik aluminum, the source said.  

The delegation will stay in Tajikistan until May 20.  It is the second visit of the Irkutsk economic delegation to Tajikistan.  For the first time, the Irkutsk delegation was in Tajikistan in 2003.
