KULOB, May 5, Asia-Plus – Residential customers in Khatlon’s Kulob region, which groups ten districts, have not had electricity since May 3, Asia-Plus has learned from reliable source at the Kulob electric systems.
According to him, in Shuroobod, Muminobod, Baljuvon and Khovaling districts, power cutoffs have even affected the strategic sites such as hospitals. “Facilities of statewide significance currently receive limited electricity supplies only in the districts of Farkhor and Vose and the city of Kulob,” the source said, noting that Farkhor receives electricity supplies at the rate of 6,000 kWh per day, Vose 12,000 kWh and the city of Kulob 6,000 kWh.
The source added that he does not have information about the remaining four districts because they receive electricity supplies from other power system.
