QURGHON TEPPA, May 5, Asia-Plus — A special commission for celebrations to mark the Day of National Unity and Accord discussed a progress of preparation of Qurghon Teppa for marking this important event at a May 3 meeting, presided over by Deputy Prime Minister, Ms. Ruqiya Qurbonova.
More than 1,000 guests are expected to attend celebrations dedicated to the National and Accord Day, which is marked on June 27. The meeting discussed issues related a progress of preparation of the city of Qurghon Teppa and those districts, which will host the main celebrations, for marking the holiday.
Qurghon Teppa authorities invited representatives of media to attend the meeting, however, Ms. Qurbonova asked journalists to leave the meeting. She justified that by saying that it is just a common working meeting, and therefore, there is no necessity in presence of journalists at the meeting.
