DUSHANBE, May 5, Asia-Plus  — As of May 1, the spring conscription campaign has reached 55 percent of the target, which is considered  a good result, especially with

a month remaining in the campaign, according to the Ministry of Defense (MoD).  

The MoD source noted that in the territorial cross section the percentage the target reached are: Khatlon – 61; Sughd – 56; districts subordinate to the center (RRPs) – 52; Gorno Badakhshan – 45; and Dushanbe – 42.  

The districts of Nosir Khusrav and Zafarobod as well as the cities of Norak and Taboshar have already fulfilled the conscription campaign target. 

The spring conscription campaign is carried out from April through May, and the draft affects able-bodied male citizens in the age bracket of 18 years old to 27 years old who are not members of the armed forces reserve.
