Dushanbe. 20 August. “Asia Plus” — International Youth Olympic Games of the CIS countries on the Olympic Movement will be held from 24 to 29 August in Dushanbe, informed the press service of the Interstate Humanitarian Cooperation Fund of CIS countries.
According to the CIS Executive Committee information, over 70 representatives from Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine will take part in the Olympic Games. These are the winners of competitions in the Olympic Movement, heads of educational programs of national Olympic committees, representatives of National Olympic Academies. The program involves passing tests about the history of the Olympic Movement in the ancient and modern world, conducting sports in five disciplines – indoor soccer, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, chess and theoretical and practical sessions and discussions, trainings and seminars. The moderators of the activities will be highly qualified specialists of National Olympic Academies, Olympic champions, famous athletes and coaches. Also, there will be an exhibition of the Olympic Movement achievements. “Project participants will have a unique opportunity of professional development in the field of sports management”.
The project is implemented with the help of the National Olympic Academy of Tajikistan in partnership with the National Olympic Committee of Tajikistan and the Youth, Sports and Tourism Committee of Tajikistan with the support of the Interstate Humanitarian Cooperation Fund of CIS countries.
