DUSHANBE, October 5, 2015, Asia-Plus — A two-day regional scientific workshop entitled “Migration and Health Care in Central Asia” kicked off in the Tajik capital, Dushanbe, today.
According to the French Institute for Central Asian Studies (IFEAC), the workshop is the third step of the cycle of symposiums organized under support of the Institut Français (a French public industrial and commercial organization – EPIC) in Paris in 2015.
In partnership with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the French Ministry of Education and Research and UN Women, the workshop has reportedly gathered professionals from Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russia and France to explore the relationship between migrations and healthcare in Central Asia and Russia.
The French Institute for Central Asian Studies was established in 1993 and its mission is to: spread and valorize the scientific activities of IFEAC in partnership with local research institutions; support the actions of cooperation between France and Central Asia in social sciences; and inform about the activities of French partner organizations (university laboratories, research centers and institutes).
