DUSHANBE, February 9, 2016, Asia-Plus – Tajik President Emomali Rahmon yesterday held a meeting to discuss issues related to socioeconomic development of the country.
According to the Tajik president’s official website, the meeting participants included prime minister, members of the government, heads of ministries and agencies, as well as senior representatives of president’s executive office.
The meeting, in particular, discussed a personnel problem and endorsed a new composition of the board of the Main Directorate for State Supervision over Safety in Industry and Mining.
They also approved the plan of actions to carry out tasks set by the president in his annual address to the parliament.
Speaking at the meeting, President Rahmon noted that accomplishment of objectives set in this year’s address would play an important role in fostering national consciousness, developing various socioeconomic sectors, mitigating the effects of external factors, and strengthening the country’s image on international arena.
The meeting also endorsed a number of draft laws, the cultural facilities development program designed for 2016-2020, and the redevelopment plan for the administrative center of the Jomi district in Khatlon.
