DUSHANBE, February 25, 2016, Asia-Plus – Shohrukh Saidov, the son of the Customs Service chief Abdufattoh Ghoib, has got a high post in the Interior Ministry.

According to some sources, he has been appointed deputy head of the Interior Ministry Criminal Investigation Directorate.

An official source at the Interior Ministry has confirmed this information, adding that Shohrukh Saidov was appointed to that post about a week ago.

There is no information whether Saidov worked with the law enforcement agencies before the appointment.

Shohrukh Saidov will turn 30 in the summer this year.  He is member of the Football Federation of Tajikistan and President of the FC Istiqlol.

Shohrukh Saidov is known as close friend to President Rahmon’s son, Rustam Emomali, who now heads the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption.

Shohrukh Saidov and  Rustam Emomali studied together at school and university.

In his interview with

magazine, Shohrukh Saidov said in 2014 that he graduated from the Faculties of Economic and Law at Tajik National University and took special courses in Moscow on providing security for VIPs and safety of strategic facilities.
