Tajikistan, Iran sign MoU on health affairs

DUSHANBE, March 13, Asia-Plus – Tajik Minister of Health Nusratullo Salimov Iran”s minister of Health and his Iranian counterpart, Kamran baqeri Lankarani, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on medical, educational and medicine cooperation in Tehran Monday evening, IRNA said.

Kamran Baqeri Lankarani told reporters that the two countries have cultural, religious and political commonalities and old, closed ties.

He added,” that is why we are going to expand our cooperation in the fields of medicine, medical training, sanitation and medical affairs with Tajikistan.”

The cooperation can be operational and Health Ministry is ready for exchanging trained manpower, especially in the fields of specialists and export of medicine and experiences of disease prevention.

The Tajik Health Minister Nusratullo Salimov, for his part, expressed pleasure over being in Iran and visiting several medical colleges and universities.

He added, “Tajikistan is ready to receive any kind of help from Iran”s Health Ministry especially in the fields of developing health system and campaign against common diseases in Tajikistan.
