DUSHANBE, April 8, 2016, Asia-Plus – On Friday April 8, President Emomali Rahmon held a joint meeting of the government and the organizing committee for celebration of the 25th anniversary of Tajikistan’s Independence, according to the Tajik president’s official website.

Heads of relevant ministries and agencies reported on the process of implementation of the national budget in the first quarter of this year, the process of implementation of the government’s resolution on celebration of the 25th anniversary of the country’s independence, and the process of preparations for implementation of the CASA 1000 Project.

In a report released at the meeting, Finance Minister Abdusalom Qurboniyon revealed that over the first quarter of this year the national budget had received 3.4 billion somoni, which was 93.5 percent of the budget’s revenue part target for January-March, 2016.

Prime Minister Qohir Rasoulzoda reported on preparations for celebration of the 25th anniversary of Tajikistan’s Independence.

The prime minister, in particular, noted that a number of large industrial enterprises such as the cement plant with annual capacity of 1.2 million tons, the plant for production of cryolite, the plant for production aluminum fluoride, and the plant for production of sulfuric acid in Yovon district, the gold refining plant in Vahdat township, a number of textile enterprises in Danghara district, the metallurgical plant in Hisor district, the second line of the Dushanbe-2 combined heat and power (CHP) plant, as well as the Vahdat-Yovon railway  would be introduced into operation in the near future.

In all, 161 industrial enterprises that will create more than 10,000 jobs are expected to be introduced into operation in the country on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the country’s independence.  Besides, 155 educational facilities, 45 sports facilities, 8 medical facilities, 9 energy facilities and 8 transport facilities will be introduced into operation in Tajikistan on the occasion of this jubilee, the president’s website said.
