Tajik students will be able to use American FLEX program only after the end of the 11th grade. The program FLEX (Future Leaders Exchange) is a non-profit American educational exchange program for high school students.

As reported the press Secretary of the Ministry of education and science of Tajikistan Ehson Hushvahtov, the decision that Tajik students can participate in FLEX program only after 11 classes was made during a meeting of the Minister of education and science of Tajikistan Nuriddin Said with the Ambassador of USA in Tajikistan Elizabeth Millard.

According to him, the need for this decision stems from the fact that the school program of students in the United States does not meet the program in Tajikistan.

“After arriving from USA students want to study in the same class, where they suspended their studies because of the exchange program to America. For example, leaving at the end of the 8th grade in return they want to go to the 10th grade because the 9th grade they have studied there. But when you look at the American program you will see that it does not correspond to the Tajik. They don”t want to re-learn in Tajikistan the missed year. Constantly there always occurred disputes on this issue between the schools and the studentsâ€?, – said the press secretary of the Ministry of education, stating that this decision will put an end to this issue.
