The case of Muslim girl, who wasn’t let on a lesson in school №13 in a white handkerchief, and caused a huge public outcry in Tambov, was not single.
As informs local edition "Fifth channel", similar incident has occurred in another educational institution — school №36. When an eighth grader came to school in a headscarf the school Director did not allow her to lessons.
As commented the head of the institution Lyudmila Sveshnikova, school No. 36 provides for a single standard of school uniform and all students must strictly comply with it.
"There can be no headgear. One will come in his cap, the other in the hat and I will put something on my head?" – said Sveshnikova.
As it turned out, the girl is a from a Muslim family, which two years ago came to Tambov from Tajikistan. This year the girl went to the 8th grade, but most likely she will finish it homeschooled, think the father of a schoolgirl.
"We are now going to choose the options: to go to school in a secular form or obtain education at home," – said the father of the girl Khurshed Safolov.
In turn, the imam of Tambov Muslim community Abduragim Ilyasov is sure that none of the girls had violated the internal order of the school.
"Any girl in a white headscarf does not violate any order of the school. On the contrary, she is neat, beautiful in a white handkerchief. We found a common language, explained everything to the leadership of the school. And to act so emphatically is not normal: if you came in a white shawl you should leave, there will be no Islam here," – said Imam of Tambov.
As explained vice-mayor of Tambov Sergei Kuznetsov, the city has long ago adopted a standard of school uniform and all students must strictly comply with it. The headwear is not provided by the rules.
"The school officials explained to the mother of the student the requirements for school uniform and asked them to adhere to. But despite this, the girl did not come in school," – said Kuznetsov.
