DUSHANBE, February 6, Asia-Plus  — Maliksho Nematov, the head of the Committee for Youth’s Affairs, Tourism and Sports, today left for Tokyo to attend a tourism conference that will be held there from February 6 to February 12, Asia-Plus has learned at the committee. 

Bakhtiyor Hamdamov, the deputy head of the Committee for Youth’s Affairs, Tourism and Sports, said that the conference would bring together heads of tourism institutions from Central Asia and Trans Caucasus to discuss cooperation issues.  According to him, the conference is held as part of the Tourism Cooperation in the 21st Century Program. 

During his stay in Tokyo, Nematov is also scheduled to hold talks with senior representatives from Japan’s tourism department as well as meet with lecturers from Tokyo University of Tourism and Business and representatives from private tourism companies working in the Central Asian region, the deputy head said.
