DUSHANBE, January 23, Asia-Plus — Construction of plant for producing mineral fertilizers and pesticides has commenced in Khatlon’s Qubodiyon district, Abdurahmon Qodiri, Minister for Agriculture and Environmental Protection, said.
According to him, Iran’s company International Giyahi (as said) is constructing the plant that will have a capacity of producing some 14,000 tons of mineral fertilizers and pesticides per year, which is enough to meet requirements of the country’s agrarian sector in these products. The minister noted that the plant is expected to be finished be fore then do this year.
Besides, a company on producing phosphorite has been established in Sughd’s Panjakent district. The rated capacity of this enterprise is up to 150,000 tons of phosphorite per year. The enterprise will meet the country’s requirements in this product, Qodiri said.
