Blaze destroys more than 40 shops at central bazar in Panj district of Khatlon

Date:

A blaze that broke out at a central bazaar in Khatlon’s Panj district early yesterday morning destroyed more than 40 shops, according to the Interior Ministry’s press center.

Since the blaze broke out early in the morning, merchants failed to save their goods.

A special commission is currently working at the bazaar to establish the cause of the fire and assess the actual damage.

Local authorities say they will provide assistance to merchants, whose shops were destroyed in Tuesday’s blaze, the source said.
