Sughd customs officers stop attempt of by drug courier to transport heroin to Russia

DUSHANBE, August 3, Asia-Plus – Customs officers at the Khujand airports have stopped an attempt by drug courier to transport heroin to Russia.

According to Tajikistan’s Custom’s Service, on Thursday August 2, during an inspection of passengers on the Khujand-Moscow flight, Gulmira Kalonova from the Jabborrasulov district was detained on suspicion of having been involved in drug trafficking. 

“She tried to internally smuggle 182 grams of heroin to Moscow,” the source said.
