Two minors were killed in two traffic accidents in the Jomi district (Khatlon province) on December 25, according to the Interior Ministry’s website.  

One of these fatal accidents took place in the administrative center of the Jomi district in the evening, at around 5:50 pm.

44-yer-old Salim Mirzoshoyev lost control of his Mercedes-Benz and hit a three-year-old Razialloh Davlatyorov.  The boy died on the spot.  

In another fatal traffic accident that took place near the village of Iftikhor at around 8:50 pm, a 17-year-old Firdavs Gulmurodov was hit by drunk driver Hoji Khairullo Davlatzoda.  The teen sustained serious injuries and died on the way to hospital.  

Criminal proceedings have been instituted over both accidents and an investigation is under way.
