DUSHANBE, June 13, Asia-Plus – Representative from Germany’s Federal Criminal Police have handed over to the Tajik Drug Control Agency (DCA) expendable materials used for taking samples of drugs and precursors as well as chemical supplies necessary for conducting tests and investigations, information posted on a website of the Tajik counternarcotics agency said.
German police representatives also handed over to the Tajik counternarcotics agency accessories necessary for examining a scene of action and checking vehicles as well as means to protect skin and eyes.
According to the DCA, it has closely cooperated with Germany’s Federal Criminal Police since 1999, when the Tajik counternarcotics agency was established. Over this period, German police have provided technical assistance as well as helped raise professional skills of Tajik drug control officers. Besides, officers from the DCA and German police have carried out a series of joint anti-drugs operations in the territories of Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Russia over the mentioned period.
