DUSHANBE, May 22, Asia-Plus — Open joint-stock company AgroInvestBonk, one of Tajikistan’s largest commercial banks has been recognized as the best bank-emitent within the CIS area in terms of intra-regional operations on commercial financing, the bank’s head office in Dushanbe said.
According to the AgroInvestBonk press service, the bank was given this title during a business forum that was held in Kazan, Russia, on May 19.
According to its participants, the annual meeting and business forum of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in (EBRD) in Kazan brought positive pragmatic dividends and had a very positive importance in political and economic terms.
In the meantime, a volume of loans provided by AgroInvestBonk for commercial financing has increased from 9,874,405 somonis in 2006 to 23.936 million this year so far.
Founded in 1992, AgroInvestBonk, with headquarters in Dushanbe, has main branches in Khorog, Khujand, Kulob and Qurghon Teppa and 57 other branches across the republic. AgroInvestBonk’s declared capital includes 270,000 shares, valued at 27 million somonis. The face value of one share is 100 somonis. AgroInvestBonk stands in second place among Tajikistan’s commercial banks in terms of the amount of regulative capital that has amounted, as of January 1 2007, to 56.2 million somonis.
