DUSHANBE, May 10, Asia-Plus  — On Tuesday May 8, Deputy Labor and Social Security Minister, Subhon Ashurov received Yevgeny Son, general representative of South Korea to CIS, according to the ministry of labor and social security (MoLSC).  

The source at a MoLSC said that in the course of the talks the two had discussed issues related to cooperation in the fields of labor migration, tourism and business.  They, in particular, considered the possibility of recruiting Tajik specialists to work in South Korea as well as training them in operating Korean equipment installed at state-run enterprises in Tajikistan.  

During the meeting it was noted that representatives of South Korea had already negotiated with Tajik MFA the possibility of opening of Korean consulate department in Tajikistan in order to facilitate a process of sending the trained labor migrants for working abroad.  

Besides, it was noted that opening of an air route from Dushanbe to Seoul would facilitate travels of Tajik labor migrants.  

Ashurov noted that the MoLSC is ready for cooperation and could provide assistance in opening of training centers for labor migrants in Tajikistan.
