DUSHANBE, December 14, Asia-Plus — 400,000 euros provided by the European Commission as part of the project for providing Tajik customs service with equipment and technical means have been spent, according to the customs service.  

A source at the customs service said that the money provided by the European Commission had been used for purchasing nine vehicles, office equipment and furniture, as well as four Rapiscan detection systems and weighbridge for heavy trucks.  

The customs service source added that the project has worked since late 2005 as part of the European Commission Action Program for Central Asia.
