DUSHANBE, October 12, Asia-Plus – Three of five closed websites have been unblocked. 

A source at the State Communication Inspectorate (SCI) said that three website, including

www.centrasia.ru

,

www.ferghana.ru

and

www.arianastorm

, have become available again, while two others –

www.charoghiruz.ru

and

www.TajikistanTimes.ru

– still remain blocked.  

According to him, the official cutoff has drawn formal complaints.  “We have received many complaints from NGOs and international organizations non-government al Many complaints were sent to us from nongovernmental organizations and international organizations,” said the source, “In this connection the minister ordered to reopen thee of those blocked websites.” 

We will recall that the SCI October 5 asked local Internet providers to block a number of websites, which “frequently release reports having an anti-state character, propagating racial and ethnic enmity.”

To provide information security Tajik authorities considered its necessary it necessary “to filter a number of websites and block access to the them.  Among them are

 The source said filtration process is under way and other sites carrying critical materials could also be blocked.
