Dedicated to World Tourism Day (WTD), the first international tourism exhibition, dubbed the Dushanbe International tourism Exhibition 2024 (DITE 2024), kicked off at the EXPO Center in Dushanbe on September 25.   

The official opening ceremony of the exhibition, which was organized by the Dushanbe Administration in cooperation with the Committee for Tourism Development under the Government of Tajikistan with the participation of travel companies Somon Travel, King Tour and Diyor Travel, was attended by representatives of the Tajik government, international organizations and tour operators 

Speaking at the official opening ceremony, they exchanged ideas on organizing a regional tourism market, presentation of natural, tourism and cultural potential of Tajikistan as well as ways of development of the tourism industry.   An international tourism forum and master class for representatives of the tourism industry took place yesterday on the sidelines of the exhibition.

Meetings in the B2B format contributed to the signing of new agreements that open up additional opportunities for the development of the tourism sector.  

Travel companies from more than 20 countries are participating in the event.  They have put on display their achievements in tourism and relevant industries at the fair that will run through September 27.
