DUSHANBE, June 12, Asia-Plus — “TojikSodirotBonk” (Tajik bank for foreign economic activity) has introduced three new deposits: “Replenished”; “Savings” and “Urgent VIP”.   

According to information from the “TojikSodirotBonk” headquarters in Dushanbe, people may have place money on these deposits in Russian rubles.  “Earlier, our bank had worked only with euros and dollars,” the source said, noting that those deposits have been opened because a number of Russian companies working in Tajikistan in various economic sectors is increasing.  

To open one of these deposits one has to place 1,000 Russian rubles on it and the annual interest on these deposits amounts to 12 percent, according to the source.  

Including threes three new deposits, “TojikSodirotBonk” now offers to its clients 13 types of deposits.  

According to information from the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT), 221,618 Somonis and funds in foreign currencies equivalent to 447,977 Somonis have been placed by physical and juridical entities on deposits in banks in Tajikistan over the first four months of this year.  Of this amount, 497,141 Somonis have been placed by juridical entities and 172,453 Somonis by physical entities.  A total amount of deposits has increased by 24 percent since the beginning of the year.
