Tajikistan has been assembling a dual SIM push-button mobile phone for already a month
The phone is assembled under the brand of Vira labeled “Made in Tajikistan”. The brand belongs to Orien Elektroni (Orien Electronics) Limited Liability Company.
Persian word “Vira” means ‘smart’.
The first model of Tajik mobile phone – Vira Model V1—is assembled in Dushanbe. Spare parts and components for this mobile phone are reportedly being imported from Thailand, Korea, China, Taiwan and some others.
Orien Elektroni director Daniel Huseini told Asia-Plus that they have become selling their mobile phones in Tsum and Sadbarg in Dushanbe. “In the future, we plan to sell them also in other regions,” Mr. Huseini said.
According to him, they plan to update the modification of their phone every year and release three new models.
“We plan to release a touch screen phone by 2024,” Orien Elektroni top manager added.
The phone is assembled under the Java environment with built-in memory of 100 megabytes. Additional 32 GB flash memory can be installed on the phone.
The phone has a frontal 1.3-megapixel camera with flash.
