Asian Express Company has reportedly resumed bus services connecting the Tajik capital to the northern province of Sughd. 

According to information posted on Asian Express Company’s Facebook page, the first bus service connecting Dushanbe to Khujand, the capital of Sughd province, was held on May 1.  Ticket for this bus route costs 85.00 somonis. 

Asian Express Company has reportedly allocated three buses to operate this daily bus service.  

The company has also resumed bus services connecting Dushanbe to the northern city of Panjakent.  Ticket for this bus route costs 70.00 somonis.   

Recall, Asian Express Company has resumed bus service between Tajikistan and Russia, which has been closed since March 2020.  The company resumed the bus route from Dushanbe to Moscow on April 11, 2023.

Bus services on this route are reportedly operated once a week, on Tuesdays; dispatch time: 10:00 am.

Ticket for adults for this bus route costs 1,200 somonis, for children between 2 and 5 years of age – 600 somonis, and for children under 2 years old travel is free.

Mostly labor migrants use this bus route to get into Russia.
