On January 20, a Chinese language course was officially launched at the Vocational and Technical College in the Tajik northern city of Istiqlol (formerly Taboshar). The course was organized by the Chinese Language Workshop of the Tajik-Sino Mining Company.

The opening ceremony was attended by the First Deputy Chairperson of Istiqlol, Ms. Muqaddas Alaberdiyon, Senior Advisor on Urban Development, Ms. Dilfuza Pulatova, College Director, Mr. Isfandiyor Niyozov, Deputy General Director of the Tajik-Sino Mining Company, Mr. Hu Benfu, Chinese language instructor from the Chinese Language Workshop, Mr. Bi Wei, and college students.

In his welcoming speech, Isfandiyor Niyozov highlighted the goals and intentions behind the collaboration with the Chinese Language Workshop, aimed at fostering friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Tajikistan.  He encouraged students to value this unique learning opportunity, acquire professional skills, and pave their way toward a successful future.

Muqaddas Alaberdiyon emphasized that Tajikistan is currently undergoing a period of rapid development, making the training of highly qualified specialists with strong foreign language skills critically important.

She praised the model combining Chinese language education with professional training, noting that it contributes to preparing local specialists and facilitating their employment.  Alaberdiyon assured that local authorities would provide full support for the project.

Hu Benfu stated that the company places great importance on language skills and multicultural interaction.  

He mentioned that several Chinese Language + Professional Skills courses had already been conducted with notable success.  He invited students to join the company upon completing their studies, contribute to Tajikistan's economic development, and strengthen cooperation between the two nations.

Chinese language instructor Bi Wei expressed confidence in his ability to apply his experience and professional expertise to support students at every stage of their learning journey, helping them achieve success.

He encouraged students to actively participate in classes and continuously improve themselves.

Tajik-Sino Mining Company is located in the settlement of Zarnisor, which is administratively subordinate to the city of Guliston (formerly Qairoqqum), Sughd province.  The enterprise was granted licenses for development of the lead and zinc deposits Altyn-Topkan and Pay-Buloq.
