Russian air company to launch new air route from Russia to Tajikistan

Russian airline Utair is expected to launch a new air route from Russia to Tajikistan starting form the next month.

According Utair’s press center, the airline will operate twice-weekly services – on Wednesdays and Sundays — from the Russian city of Tyumen to the Tajik northern city of Khujand starting from May 3, 2023.

The price for ticket on this flight is from 8,619 Russian rubles.  Tickets are available on utazir.ru website.

Utair  is a Russian airline with its head office at Khanty-Mansiysk Airport while its hubs are at Surgut International Airport and Vnukovo International Airport. It operates scheduled domestic and some international passenger services, scheduled helicopter services, and extensive charter flights with fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters in support of the oil and gas industry across western Siberia.

Utair’s current fleet includes 15 ATR 72-500s, 6 Boeing 737-400s, 30 Boeing 737-500s, and 9 Boeing 737-800s (excluding helicopters and subsidiaries' aircraft).

It is to be noted that the US Department of Commerce on April 8, 2022 restricted flights on aircraft manufactured in the US for Aeroflot, Aviastar, Azur Air, Belavia, Rossiya and Utair.  On June 16, 2022, the US broadened its restrictions on the six airlines after violations of the sanctions regime were detected. The effect of the restrictions is to ground the US-manufactured part of its fleet.
