, May 10, Asia-Plus – A feature film by Tajik filmmakers Gulandom Muhabbatova and Daler Rahmatov entitled “Ovora” has won a grand prize of the Youth Film Festival “Izhodii Parvoz” (Creative Flight) that was held in Uzbek capital of


Tashkent


on May 2-7.   

Daler Rahmatov said in his interview with Asia-Plus that 25 interesting full-length feature films had been nominated to the youth film festival in


Tashkent


but jury had given the festival’s grand prize to the Tajik movie.  The grand prize gives the Tajik movie an opportunity to participate in the international


Moscow


film festival that will be held in the summer this year.  

Besides “Ovora”,

youth film festival a short-length feature film “Utro” (Morning) by Tajik filmmaker Denis Beketov.

The film reflects problems facing labor migrants and the growing generation.  It tells life of a five-year-old boy living with his grandmother and grandfather in the village.  His father has left for Russia in search of seasonal work.
