Russian media reports say a drone carrying 17 kilograms of explosives has crashed near the city of Noginsk in Moscow oblast.

TASS news agency reported on April 24 that the drone was discovered by a woman living in the SNT (garden association) Zarya Sunday afternoon.

The crashed kamikaze drone reportedly resembles the Ukrainian UJ-22 Airborne unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).

It is hypothesized that the drone carried Canadian M112 explosive charges based on C4 plastic explosive.

The crashed drone turned out to be a Ukrainian-made UJ-22 Airborn drone, weighing 85 kilograms and being 3.5 meters long.

The drone reportedly fell, catching on trees.   Most likely, it ran out of fuel in the tank. Inside the drone, about 30 briquettes weighing 570 grams with an explosive substance inside were found.

As noted, explosives technicians had to work at the place where the drone fell for about 5 hours. It is not yet known where the drone was launched from.

Such a device is reportedly capable of moving at speed up to 180 kilometers per hour for a distance of up to 800 kilometers.

Meanwhile, Russian media reports say Russia’s Belgorod oblast was attacked by four drones on April 23.  One of the drones, which flew over the village of Murom 500 meters from the border, was reportedly landed by electronic warfare.  The second drone sighted on the outskirts of the village of Sereda was reportedly also shot down.  It is reported that “the munition detonated in the fall and the drone exploded.”
