Entrepreneurs from Tajikistan's Sughd region will deliver more than 1,000 tons of agricultural products to Astana, including fruits, dried fruits, nuts, vegetables and melons, for which the region is famous.

A fair of agricultural products and handicrafts from the Sughd region of Tajikistan will be held in the capital of Kazakhstan on August 16-17.

According to the Astana authorities, Tajik entrepreneurs will bring to Kazakhstan fresh fruits, vegetables and melons, dried fruits, nuts and other products traditional for the region. The range will also include handicrafts made in the best traditions of Tajik folk art.

The organizers paid special attention to the gastronomic part. Guests of the fair will be able to taste dishes of national cuisine prepared according to traditional recipes, as well as enjoy the atmosphere of the oriental bazaar with its multicolored stalls, spice flavors and live music.

The main purpose of the event is to support entrepreneurs, develop international trade and cultural ties, and promote Tajikistan's products and crafts to foreign markets. According to the organizers, such fairs contribute to strengthening friendship between peoples and introduce residents of Kazakhstan to the rich cultural heritage of their neighbors in the region.

Trading will be open on August 16 from 11:00 to 19:00 and on August 17 from 10:00 to 19:00. Admission to the fair is free. Visitors will find not only shopping, but also a unique opportunity to plunge into the atmosphere of the East without leaving Astana.

The fair will take place on the territory of the Barys Arena, where everyone can find something special for themselves.
