Tajikistan has decided to raise the rate of a calculating indicator (estimate) again beginning on January 1, 2023.
The RT Law “On the National Budget for 2022”, in particular, notes that the calculating indicator will rise 6.25 percent beginning on January 1, 2023.
This indicator is set in the national budget taking into account the level of inflation forecast for the corresponding year.
Beginning on January 1, 2022, the indicator for calculating taxes, state duties, other mandatory payment, fines and social payments as well as for calculating certain cost limiting values calculating will be set at 68.00 somonis.
The current calculating indicator amounts to 64.00 somonis.
Until 2019, the size of the calculating indicator had increased once every two years, and since 2019, it has increased annually.
Thus, in 2015-2016, the calculating indicator in Tajikistan amounted to 40.00 somonis, in 2017-2018 – 50.00 somonis, in 2019 – 55.00 somonis, in 2020 – 58.00 somonis, and in 2021 – 60.00 somonis.
In 2008, the calculating indicator replaced phrases “minimum wage” and “monthly minimum wage” in Tajikistan’s legislation.
At the time, the corresponding law on calculating indicator was adopted.
