, March 14, Asia-Plus – On occasion of the Navruz holiday, joint festivals entitled “Friendship” will be held in the Tajik-Kyrgyz border areas of Isfara-Batken, Jabborrasulov-Leilak and Qistaqus-Arkin from March 19-20 under the “Tajikistan-Kyrgyzstan Cross-border Cooperation” project.

According to information from the UNDP Dushanbe Office, the events, which will continue traditions of cooperation neighborly relations between the two peoples, are being held for the purpose of expanding cooperation between border communities, strengthening friendship and mutual understanding between the peoples, supporting peace and social harmony.  

Sports games, folk and variety concerts as well as craftsmanship exposition will be held on sidelines of the festivals.
