because the remainders of anti-government forces of the rebellious colonel Mahmoud Khodyberdiyev were still staying on the territory of neighboring

Said Abdullo Nuri also briefed the EU envoy on further plans of the party, including participation in the upcoming presidential election in the republic. 

As it had been reported earlier, Hikmatullo Sayfullozoda, a spokesman for the IRPT, announced in late February that their party would run its own candidate in the November presidential election.   But Sayfullozoda did not say who the IRPT candidate might be.
