, March 27, Asia-Plus – An official opening of
Tajikistan
’s trade-industrial and cultural center was held in the Russian city of
Penza
on March 22.
According to information from the Tajik Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), a Tajik delegation led by the CCI head Sharif Saidov took part at a session of the Committee of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for CIS Economic Integration, which was held in
Penza
on March 21-23. The meeting focused on a role of organs of the executive power and chambers of commerce and industry in resolving labor migration problems.
During the meeting it was noted that the
Penza
region intended to actively promote attraction of labor resources from the CIS states to those sectors that experience shortage of manpower.
As of March 14, 14 medical workers from
Tajikistan
and
Kyrgyzstan
have been placed in jobs in rural areas of the
Penza
region. Their average monthly wage is 15,000 Russian rubles (equivalent to more than US$530).
These events were held on sidelines of the 8
th
exclusive exhibition “2006 Food Market”. More than 60 enterprises from various regions of the
Russian Federation
as well as from
Tajikistan
put on display their achievements in this area.
Tajikistan
put on display dried and tinned fruits, honey and many other foods.
