Kyrgyzstan was listed among the most politically unstable counties, Political Instability Index investigation of the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) said.
Kyrgyzstan shares 33-38th places with some other countries in the rating. Kyrgyz Instability Index was estimated by the experts at 7.1 points, when in 2007 the index made up only 5.1 points. Economical problems of the republic were evaluated at 8, fundamental vulnerability – at 6.3 points.
Kazakhstan takes 126th place in the rating being close to Botswana and China. Russia is on 65th position. Zimbabwe (8.8), Chad (8.5) and Congo (8.2) were considered to be the most unstable countries in the world.
As to EIU experts, level of political instability sufficiently increased for the last two years in the world. Among 165 countries included in the rating, political situation became worse in 151 countries, remained the same in 12 counties and only Uzbekistan and Seychelles have shown improvement of the their situation.
