DUSHANBE, March 3, 2009, Asia-Plus — The CIS member nations intend to expand cooperation in the field of youth policy, according to the CIS Executive Committee press service.
The CIS Executive Secretary Sergey Lebedev noted that the policy youth issues would be discussed at the CIS foreign ministers’ session in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan in April and at a session of the council of the CIS heads of government in Astana, Kazakhstan in May.
Besides, a number of activities, including Internet-festivals, various youth Olympiads, forums, conferences and film festivals, will be organized this year, which has been announced as Year of Youth within the CIS, the CIS executive secretary said.
