DUSHANBE, August 18, 2010, Asia-Plus  — Customs officers seized almost two kilograms of heroin at the Dushanbe airport on August 17, a source at the Tajik Customs Service told Asia-Plus on Wednesday.

An inspection of passengers on the Dushanbe-Moscow flight found heroin hidden in a luggage belonging to local woman M.H.  She tried to transport heroin to Moscow hidden in apricot stones, the source said.

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the alleged drug peddler and an investigation is under way.
