DUSHANBE, August 18, 2010, Asia-Plus  — In January-July 2010, Tajikistan has produced a total of more than 4.0383 billion somoni worth of industrial goods, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.

Compared to January-July 2009 the index of the volume of production of industrial goods amounted to 100.9 percent.

Over the first seven months of this year, 423 enterprises (50.8 percent) exceeded the January-July 2009 production level.  In the meantime, 151 enterprises, or 18.1 percent of the overall number of enterprises (833), were not in operation.

In July, 322 enterprises (38.7 percent) were not in operation.

Enterprises subject to the Ministry of Energy and Industries (MoEI) have produced 1.2137 billion worth of goods over the same seven-month period, which is 23.2 percent more than in the same period last year.

Enterprises that are not subject to a MoE have produced 1.7129 billion somoni worth of goods over the report period, which is 5.4 percent more than in January-July 2009.
