KULOB, August 16, 2010, Asia-Plus – On by-election which has passed on Sunday in the Soviet of People”s Deputies of Kulob on election district №2 victory were gained by the candidate from National Democratic Party of Tajikistan (NDPT), the director of the municipal enterprise of electric networks of the town Dzhumahon Sharipov.

As the chairman of regional election committee Emomali Rakhmonov has informed «AP», from 1620 voters entered in the list for voting to urns have come 64,9 %, and from them 83,17 % of voters of district have voted for candidate NDPT.

According to E.Rakhmonov, by-election has been organized in connection with departure of the deputy of the regional soviet, the director of the regional power supply network Bahtiyor Rahmatov outside of Kulob and resignation from deputy powers.
