DUSHANBE, August 13, 2010, Asia-Plus – Temporary administration of “Sohibkorbank” will submit the conclusion about a bank economic situation for consideration to National Bank of Tajikistan on August 20, 2010. Only after that National bank will decide further destiny of Sohibkorbank, informs Sharaf Karimov, temporary director of JSC “Sohibkorbank”.

As he said, term of temporary management for a period of 6 months has expired on August 11, but according to law “About temporary administration” terms can be prolonged in addition for 6 months.

“The bank keeps afloat and there is a hope that nevertheless will not be declared bankruptcy. If the part of not realized shares is sold, all economic activities will get well. Probably, some part of bank shares will be redeemed by foreign investors, or probably local one», – supposed Karimov.

National Bank of Tajikistan has defined regulative capital for functioning banks of Republic at rate of 30 million somoni.

According to Karimov, “Sohibkorbank” at present has over 4 million somoni losses and it means that the bank has not enough capital, besides earlier given out credits by bank are not repaid.

“Sohibkorbank” in 2008 had in a difficult economic situation. Experts of National bank explained that it is because of a world economic crisis. “75 % of shares of bank belonged to Kazakh “ATF- Bank”. The fact of the matter is that all bank system of Kazakhstan has suffered from negative impact of world financial crisis. The Kazakh banks have not the powerful capital. They have lost actives because of crisis impact. Thus, they have more obligations, but they could not use them.” – have noted at the National bank.

Thereby, ATF-Bank has sold shares in 2008 at same time to the several commercial companies of Kazakhstan. As S.Karimov has noted, these companies intend to realize their shares, and are in searches of investors.
