DUSHANBE, February 17, 2009, Asia-Plus — Issues related to elimination of the worst forms of child labor in the agrarians sector in Tajikistan within the framework of the Norwegian Agreement for Development of Social Dialogue Social and the International Program for Elimination of the Worst Forms of Child Labor in Central Asia (IPEC-CA) are the focus of a three-day training seminar that was launched in Dushanbe on February 16, Asia-Plus has learned from Ms Muhayo Khosabekova, coordinator of ILO-IPEC program in Tajikistan.

The main objective of the training is in promoting social dialogue through organizing training for farmers and trade unions employees that play an important role in the process of elimination of child labor in cotton-growing farms.

The training seminars are also considering educational materials on problems of elimination of the worst child forms of child labor in the agrarian sector prepared by IPEC, Ms Khosabekova said.
