DUSHANBE, March 16, 2010, Asia-Plus  — Tajik and Kazakh chambers of commerce and industries (CCIs) are expected to sign an agreement on establishment of the Tajik-Kazakh business council, Ms. Tatiana Zhdanova, deputy Chairperson of Kazakhstan chamber of Commerce and Industry, told Asia-Plus today on sidelines of an international industrial and trade exhibition that opened in Dushanbe today.

She noted that an idea to set up a joint business council with Tajikistan had occurred to them long ago.  “I hope Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry will support Kazakhstan’s idea and this agreement will be signed already today,” Zhdanova said.

According to her, the council will help Kazakh and Tajik business communities cooperate closer and meet more frequently to consider and solve their problems.

We will recall that a Kazakh business delegation, numbering 40 people, arrived in Dushanbe on March 15 for a three-day visit.  The purpose of the visit is for the delegation to discuss ways for expansion of bilateral trade and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.  Kazakh entrepreneurs are also taking part in the ongoing international industrial and trade exhibition in Dushanbe.
