KHUJAND, February 24, 2010, Asia-Plus  — Ballot papers for the February 28 parliamentary elections have been delivered to Khujand from Dushanbe by plane, Nabijon Poulodov, a secretary with the Sughd regional electoral commission, told Asia-Plus Wednesday afternoon.

According to him, the ballot papers have already been distributed to all constituencies in the area.  “Under the parliamentary election code, the ballot papers will be distributed to polling stations on February 25,” Poulodov said.

The secretary noted that according to voter lists complied by electoral commissions at polling stations, 1,300,000 were registered in the province.
