The tax rate on petrol, diesel fuel and gas for physical entities increased from 145 soums per liter from current 120 soums in Uzbekistan from 1 January.

New rates were approved by the Uzbek President”s decree “Forecast on major macroeconomic indices and the Uzbek state budget”s parameters for 2010″.

Retail price for 1 liter of AI-80 petrol hit 1,040 soums given fuel tax, AI-91 – 1,150 soums, AI-95 – 1,275 soums in 2009. These prices have not been changed throughout 2009.

The tax rate approved by the decree is common all over Uzbekistan.
